Gallery C exhibits young artists’ bold creative ideas

The third-floor Gallery C at the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts is easy to overlook, much like a small shop tucked in a quiet corner. But those who step inside and linger are rewarded with an unexpected world of discovery.

Gallery C has become a creative playground and testing ground where emerging curators and artists from the academy experiment with new ideas under the CAFA Young Faculty Seed Program Support Project.

Its latest exhibition, Heterogeneous Resonance, brings together the work of three artists from different academic backgrounds, each working in a distinct medium. The exhibition runs through Sept 4.

He Yisha's installations blur the boundary between the figurative and the abstract, reflecting her deep engagement with ceramic art through her regular practice in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi province. Pan Jingru's luminous pixel-based installations reinterpret traditional artistic motifs through digital technology. Li Wenlong's 3D-printed sculptures explore how contemporary image-making is reshaping the way people see and understand visual culture.
