Yinxu Museum, Anyang, Henan

Standing beside the Huanhe River (today's Anyang River), the Yinxu Museum in Anyang, Henan province, brings visitors the legacy of the Shang Dynasty (c.16th century-11th century BC), whose last capital flourished here more than 3,000 years ago. Its striking architecture draws inspiration from the bronze ding, one of ancient China's most iconic ritual vessels.
