Starlight concert brings families to Huairou farm

The hands-on workshop area blended natural materials with intangible cultural heritage techniques. Using eco-friendly raw materials, visitors could make pod dolls and nutshell rattles. The Chinese-chic craft workshop highlighted traditional intangible cultural heritage items such as cloisonne enamel, mother-of-pearl inlay, and monkey figurines. Through hands-on activities and creative crafting, visitors experienced the charm of pastoral aesthetics while learning through fun, gaining a deeper appreciation for the unique allure of traditional Chinese culture.

The 2026 Huairou Guochao (China-chic) Cultural Festival, which began during the May Day holiday, will run until October, featuring dozens of special events in succession, as a new chapter of cultural-tourism integration unfolds across the entire region.
