Xiamen plans gala concert for Children's Day

A concert, produced by Zheng Xiaoying Opera Center and the symphony orchestra of the Xiamen Song and Dance Troupe, will be staged in Xiamen, a coastal city in Fujian province, on June 1 to mark International Children's Day. The theme song for the opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games, titled Snowflake, will be performed during the concert. Other planned performances will include Camille Saint-Saens' Carnival of the Animals, One Summer's Day composed by Joe Hisaishi, which was featured in the Japanese animated movie Spirited Away directed by Hayao Miyazaki, and Hedwig's Theme by John Williams for the Harry Potter film score.
