Running from September through early October, the exhibition featured works by 22 artists from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macao. As in previous editions, the works were dispersed throughout the building rather than arranged in a conventional gallery layout. Integrated into the historic interiors, they became part of the visitors' experience as they explored the space.
Launched in 2020 by artist and curator Pang Hailong, the project seeks to rekindle public interest in historic architecture while offering new ways to experience art. By transforming old houses into exhibition spaces, it brings contemporary creations into dialogue with the buildings' histories.
Previous editions have been held in Shanghai, Fuzhou in Fujian province, Foshan in Guangdong province and Singapore.
