Their convoy consisted of 33 vintage cars that embarked on this odyssey on July 13 from Paris, France and were set to wrap up in Beijing at the end of August. Retracing the Silk Road over 15,000 kilometers, they took in the ancient heritage and natural wonders while their stylish vehicles drew local attention as if they were a moving feast.

Within China, the group traveled through Kashgar, Turpan, Dunhuang, Xi'an, Pingyao, and other cities before finally arriving in Beijing and visiting the Forbidden City. The organizers stated that the event aimed to promote cultural exchange between China and Europe by retracing the Silk Road in classic cars.
