The China Soong Ching Ling Foundation recently held an event titled Children's Day Shared Joy to celebrate International Children's Day, bringing together 600 participants from over 20 countries and regions, including China, Russia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Angola, Mexico, and Spain, to enjoy the festive occasion.

Families experienced a variety of activities on-site, such as Chinese tea-tasting, assembling model space satellites, making herbal sachets, and watching classic Chinese animated films, such as Black Cat Sheriff and Calabash Brothers.

Chinese and foreign children eagerly exchanged handmade crafts and gifts that represent their respective cultural traditions. Through these small tokens, they shared heartfelt wishes, allowing different traditions to interact and appreciate one another — a vivid illustration of how diverse civilizations can coexist in mutual respect and harmony.

"The children learned about the properties of various medicinal herbs today and gained a lot of knowledge. The event offers a wide variety of activities, from crafts to sports challenges. My child is very engaged. We will explore other activities, interact with foreign children, and celebrate this wonderful day together," said the mother of 9-year-old Xiong Jiayi.

In the outdoor activity area, fun sports such as pickleball, pot throwing (a traditional Chinese game), and rock climbing were in full swing, encouraging Chinese and foreign families to team up, collaborate, and unite in challenges. Through sweat and laughter, they bridged distances and forged closer friendships.
