Chinese teams once again proved unbeatable in table tennis, successfully defending both the men's and women's titles at the recently concluded World Team Table Tennis Championships in London.
To commemorate the triumph, China Post released a special commemorative envelope celebrating the national team's achievement. Designed by renowned stamp artist Zhao En'zhong, the collectible features a colorful stamp alongside a decorative motif of flowers and trophies.
Under fluorescent light, a series of meaningful numbers emerges on the design: 100 marks the centenary of international table tennis competitions; 58 refers to the just-concluded 58th World Table Tennis Championships; 24 celebrates the 24th time China has claimed the team title in the tournament's history; 12 represents the men's team's consecutive championship victories; and 7 marks the women's team's straight run of titles.
Over the decades, China Post has released several stamps dedicated to table tennis, a sport that continues to enjoy wide popularity across the country.
