Food festival celebrates 50 years of China-Malaysia diplomatic ties

In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia, the China World Hotel in Beijing has collaborated with the embassy of Malaysia in China, Tourism Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines, and the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce to present the "A Taste of Malaysia" cultural food festival, running from May 31 to June 9.

At the heart of this festival are the culinary creations of China World Hotel's skilled chefs, who have crafted an array of authentic Malaysian buffet dishes and delectable desserts incorporating premium Sultan Durian. This culinary extravaganza offers Beijing diners a delightful journey into the flavors and essence of Malaysian cuisine.

The festival was inaugurated at China World Hotel's Scene a Cafe on Saturday, with distinguished guests including Stephan Kapek, VP Operations of the Shangri-La Group, Stephen Teo, resident manager of China World Hotel, Beijing, H.E. Dato Ambassador Norman Muhamad, ambassador of Malaysia to China, and Lee Tai Kang, deputy director of Tourism Malaysia in attendance.
