Acrobatic Troupe of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region

The Acrobatic Troupe of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region was established in July 1952.

Keeping on learning from national and international remarkable program, combining what they have learnt with the artistic characteristic of various local nationalities, the artists created their unique artistic style of performance. Program Acrobats on Shaking Bars won gold medal at the 12th Festival Mondial du Cirque de l'avenir held by Mondial du Cirque de Demair in France in 1998. Program Small Springboard won silver medal at the 2nd China Wuqiao International Acrobatics Competition in 1989. in 1985, the Troupe became famous throughout the country for creating the program―Ancient Style Acrobatics, which was a harmony of acrobatics, song, dance and music.

The Troupe often presents performance in factories, countryside, schools and armies, where it is warmly welcomed. It has also visited dozens of countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America.

Its present main artists: Yang Aixia (first grade performer, representative work: Balancing Bowls on Head), Lin Yunbin (second grade performer, representative work: Board Jumping) and Wei Linshan (second grade performer, representative work: Comic).
