Glass art
The Czech Republic has been internationally recognized for producing high quality glass, as well as craftsmanship and innovative designs with the material. This long-standing tradition greatly nourished Chinese artist Zhu Liyue when she studied at the country's Kamenicky Senov Glass School from 2009 to 2012.
For more than a decade, Zhu has incorporated what she learned from Czech glassmaking philosophy with her Chinese cultural DNA in the creation of her eye-pleasing glass works.
At her ongoing exhibition in Beijing's 798 art district, Invisible Dialog, Zhu shares her explorations to bring out the illusive beauty of glass and a magic play of light and shadow.
