Chinese-Canadian soprano Xu Zuli is going to launch a tour in Canada this October by visiting five cities, including Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal, before she returns to her home country to give a show in Beijing.

The tour will feature a repertoire that includes both Chinese and English songs, such as Time to Say Goodbye, Ave Maria and The Prayer.

Chinese tenor Dai Yuqiang will join in the tour as a guest performer, entertaining audiences with songs including Nessun Dorma, an aria from the final act of Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot, and Neapolitan song O Sole Mio.

Xu says that she will donate tickets to a local charity in each city during the tour.

Born in Guizhou, Southwestern China, Xu graduated from Minzu University of China and later taught music at the middle school affiliated with Renmin University. In 2006, she started learning at the music department at the University of Toronto in Canada, where she obtained her master's degree.
