A new collection of commemorative stamps presents a vision of strengthening ecological protection through the rule of law, using vivid illustrations of mountains and waters and portraying the coexistence of wildlife and people in an urban environment.
On Aug 15, National Ecology Day, China's Ecological and Environmental Code officially came into effect. On the same day, China Post issued a commemorative stamp collection that combines graphic design with artistic illustration.
One of the stamps features the cover of the newly enacted code set against a scenic landscape of expansive grasslands, sheep, lakes and mountain ranges. Another depicts bamboo in the foreground, with giant pandas, deer and other wildlife shown in a close-up setting, while an urban landscape stretches into the distance. Together, the images create a poetic tableau of harmonious coexistence between humanity and nature.
With its fresh and elegant composition, the collection not only captures the beauty of the natural environment but also highlights efforts to protect ecological civilization through institutional and legal mechanisms.
