The first China New Cultural and Creative Market & Trendy Toy Carnival is underway at Chaoyang Park, Beijing.
Gathering top-tier cultural and creative resources from across China, the event delivers an immersive trendy culture extravaganza that integrates cultural displays, interactive experiences and creative retail.
As a major highlight of the event, the Global Zodiac Design Competition took center stage with premium cultural and creative products and trendy collectibles. By fusing traditional Chinese zodiac heritage with modern creative design, the zodiac booth has quickly become a popular social media hotspot, drawing crowds of citizens and tourists alike.
Launched in 2014, the Global Zodiac Design Competition has entered its twelfth year. Hosted by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and organized by the Beijing Overseas Cultural Exchange Center, the competition has collected over 40,000 creative submissions from nearly 30 countries, honored 645 award-winning works, and featured in 54 exhibitions across 22 countries. It has now evolved into an international platform for zodiac culture, that integrates creation, exhibition, exchange and commercialization.
The competition showcased its diverse creative achievements across two major curated sections. At the Beijing Gifts zone, selected award-winning designs for the Year of the Horse and creative products from previous years were displayed. Meanwhile, the museum & culture zone featured a vibrant array of zodiac-themed merchandise, including the Auspicious Zodiac Horse figurines and zodiac tableware sets. Other cultural items, such as the Beijing Central Axis-themed refrigerator magnets, also emerged as crowd favorites.
The Global Zodiac Design Competition exhibition and its cultural products are on display at Chaoyang Park until Sunday.
