The Jingdezhen Handicraft Porcelain Industry Sites were inscribed on the World Heritage List on Saturday, during the 48th Session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO in Busan, becoming China's 61st World Heritage site.

On the same day, Tencent's SSV Digital Culture Laboratory and the Jingdezhen government launched a World Heritage-themed WeChat mini-game, Digital Jingdezhen: Porcelain Craft Adventure. This game uses digital technology to showcase the city's more than 1,000-year-old porcelain-making tradition.

The game re-creates historical porcelain workshops from the Song (960-1279) to Ming (1368-1644) dynasties, allowing players to experience traditional techniques from clay preparation to kiln firing. It employs AI digital humans, AI-powered 3D generation, and other technologies to create an immersive experience of Jingdezhen's ceramic culture.

The project is part of efforts to use digital tools to promote the preservation and transmission of cultural heritage. Tencent said it will continue working with Jingdezhen to expand digital applications in heritage research, exhibitions and cultural exchanges.
