A China-Vietnam audiovisual cultural exchange event, themed "Global Village Gathering · Vietnam", was successfully held in Hanoi, Vietnam, May 24. The event was jointly organized by the China Cultural Center in Hanoi, lifestyle-sharing platform Xiaohongshu, or RedNote, and the International Cooperation Department of Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

With representatives from Chinese and Vietnamese audiovisual and cultural tourism agencies, experts, scholars, and civil society members, the event featured an immersive outdoor audiovisual market and an indoor session where professionals exchanged their expertise.

Scenes from popular Chinese TV series such as Journey to the WestRomance of the Three Kingdoms, as well as latest hits such as Swords Into Plowshares, were recreated on-site. Meanwhile, a replica of the Sisters Who Make Waves variety show stage, complete with a 360-degree filming setup, allowed participants to capture their own "star moments".

Elsewhere, the "Global Village Dialogue Corner" showcased how young people from China and Vietnam are getting to know each other's lifestyles — from Vietnamese users exploring China's scenery and trends on Xiaohongshu, to Chinese users falling for Vietnam's food and local charm — all through likes, comments, and shares. Vietnamese audiences also engaged in an array of interactive activities, including traditional Chinese calligraphy, touhu (arrow throwing) and making wishes under giant Kongming lanterns.
