A resident surnamed Zhang, who runs a farmstay featuring home-style cooking, said his business booms during the annual flower-viewing season.

"The peach and plum blossom festival brings us extra income and gives us hope for the future development of our village," Zhang said.

Local officials said Peng'an has been leveraging its flower resources to develop a "blossom economy" in recent years.
