The scope and depth of Chinese contemporary art is introduced to the audience at Art Capital, an exhibition that opened on Feb 18 at the Grand Palais in Paris and organized by the Artists Salon, France.
A part of Art Capital, the Chinese Artists Invitation Exhibition gathers dozens of painters and sculptors whose works offer a deep dive into the cultural roots and artistic traditions of China over centuries while at the same time celebrating the creativity and spirit of modern art.
Zhang Chixuan, the exhibition's curator, says that these artists have been living in a time of dialogues between Chinese tradition and global context, and they are inspired and nurtured by such rich, dramatic experiences to create works of diversity and thoughts.
