For over three decades, married couple Ji Yu and Li Dongyang have been committed to a craftsmanship that demands enormous patience, dexterity and perseverance — restoring vintage handmade carpets.
Some of these vivid, intricate woven pieces, dating back centuries, once adorned the living spaces of imperial clans and members of aristocracy. Today, they are in the collections of museums, institutions and private residences at home and abroad.
