"I have come back to China many times to explore its cities, people and culture, as well as to collaborate with filmmakers. Every time, I am inspired by the country," French documentary producer Nicolas Deschamps said. "This forum allows us to meet old and new friends, as well as develop new projects that bring together Chinese and French artists."
The National Radio and Television Administration and the Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau have launched an online cultural program Shine! Grand Canal, which connects the eight provinces (and municipalities) along the Grand Canal — the longest artificial waterway in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The program will explore 10 cities along the canal, and tell vivid stories of everyday life. It will immerse viewers in the beauty of the canal, past and present, illuminating its historical value and contemporary significance.
Additionally, the second edition of "New Era, New Images", a program organized by the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, CCTV-9, and the Discovery Channel, was also promoted. The project solicits creative ideas and programs from creators around the world, and promotes Chinese-themed audiovisual content for international collaboration and broadcasting, deepening cultural exchange, and showing a real and multidimensional image of China.
Six professional salons were also held in the afternoon session, covering themes such as "Ultra HD Audiovisual Innovations", "Innovative Pathways for Series and International Communication", "New Patterns for International Dissemination of Chinese Documentaries" and "Future-Oriented Chinese Animation".
