The second edition of the China Arts Festival will be held within the EU's core cultural and political institutions in Brussels and Strasbourg from October to December 2016. This year the festival will present traditional Chinese arts to the Member-States of the EU, as well as introduce the development of Chinese contemporary art and creative industries.

2016 is the first year of the 5th decade of EU-China relations. In order to continue promoting China-EU people-to-people dialogue and to build friendships and interactions between the two great civilizations, this year will see the organization of its second edition, renamed as China Arts Festival in the EU, which will be held in the heart of Europe from October to December 2016.

The official founding of the Committee of China Arts Festival in the EU in Brussels, the seat of the EU headquarters, has established a normalized mechanism for China-EU cultural and artistic exchanges.
