Shanghai Happy Valley opens new 'Super Wings' attraction

An immersive themed area featuring preschool animation IP Super Wings was officially opened on Sept 25 at Shanghai Happy Valley, marking the latest integration of Chinese theme parks with original Chinese animation IPs.

Spanning 20,000 square meters, the immersive area consists of five themed zones and more than 20 attractions.

Formally named Super Wings space base, it is the latest in-depth collaboration between Happy Valley Group and Alpha Group Co Ltd, underscoring the Chinese theme park industry's pursuit of high-quality growth through innovation and original content.

The area aims to offer families across the Yangtze River Delta region a new immersive entertainment experience, as well as a model for local theme parks seeking to upgrade through their own brands and IPs.

At the attraction, visitors can become space guardians who collect energy fragments and repair the space base's energy system alongside iconic Super Wings characters, including the jet plane robot Jett.

The collaboration between Happy Valley Group and Alpha Group began in 2021 with the launch of the first Super Wings real-life theme area at Chongqing Happy Valley.
