Xu Di was born in Beijing on July 29, 1958. She graduated from Beijing Opera School in 1978.
In the interview, the noted actress shared her thoughts on the development of Peking Opera and artistic exchanges with other local opera genres.
"Peking Opera, as our national treasure, should keep moving forward with the times," Xu Di remarked.
