Roundtable discusses the future of Chinese action cinema

Liang discussed the challenges faced by female action performers, saying opportunities can sometimes be difficult to come by.

"I always try to show directors that I can not only do the action, but do it better and push it further," she said.

The roundtable marked the opening of the seventh Jackie Chan International Action Film Week. Other events, including a global action film audience festival, a program marking the 50th anniversary of the Jackie Chan Stunt Team, and the closing ceremony and awards event, are scheduled in the coming days.
