To provide visitors with a closer look at Maldivian culture, the event featured a themed outdoor setting at Yang Bar, designed to re-create the atmosphere of a tropical island resort. Guests were also invited to sample traditional Maldivian cuisine prepared by chef Unais Abdullah from Sheraton Maldives, including tuna-based dishes, roshi flatbread and local seafood specialties.
In the afternoon, representatives from Maldivian, several Maldives-based resorts and Chinese travel agencies participated in a joint roadshow and business networking session. Discussions focused on tourism product development, resource integration, market expansion and cooperation models.
Organizers said the event provided a platform for tourism stakeholders from both countries to strengthen connections and explore new business opportunities, while further enhancing the Maldives' visibility among Chinese travelers.
