Jackie Chan to headline twin action film events

"I think it is worthwhile to continue speaking up for action film professionals around the world," Chan added.

Addressing international filmmakers and performers directly, he extended an open invitation to action talents worldwide. "Whether you are an on-screen action actor or an off-screen stunt performer, no matter which country you come from, as long as you love action cinema and possess the skills, the Jackie Chan International Action Film Week will always welcome you," he said.

The event has already attracted attention from foreign fans. Among those attending the promotional event was Melissa Baidak, a doctoral student at Beijing Foreign Studies University. She said Chan's action-comedy films had fascinated her since childhood. "He can remain calm and composed in any situation, using humor and wisdom to respond," Baidak said while describing the appeal of Chan's screen persona.

According to organizers, a total of 25 films will be screened during the dual events, including recent action blockbusters The Shadow's Edge and Blades of the Guardians. In addition, Iron Man Awards — the film week's top honors recognizing excellence in action filmmaking — will be presented during the action film week.
