Thousands celebrate International Women's Day at Shanghai Women's Half Marathon

Thousands of runners marked International Women's Day by taking part in the Shanghai Women's Half Marathon on Sunday.

As the inaugural event of the 2026 Shanghai international marathon series, the race attracted 8,000 female runners to traverse the 21.0975-kilometer course, beginning on Zunyi Road. Finishing at Gate 3 of Zhongshan Park. Pan Hong secured the title with 1 hour, 12 minutes, and 52 seconds, and the race boasted a 99.25 percent completion rate.
