"In the process of looking for a home, finding a home and building a home, I think it takes a lot of effort, so the 'sweat' comes from there," Ng says of the production's title.
The production's slogan asks, "As our bodies drift, where do our hearts find home?" That's a question for which people at different ages may provide different answers, or some are never able to find an answer.
"This question has been with us all along. Especially at my age now, it seems like there's even less of an answer. But these questions have to be posed and discussed: Where does my heart belong? Am I truly happy?" Ng says.
For audience members who are interested in such discussions, Ng says that they can read the subtitles and reflect on the thought-provoking and poignant themes of the production. But if they are not, they can simply listen to the lighthearted songs from LauZone and enjoy the dancers' performances.
Lo says that when working on one of the production's most recognizable songs, Glass Menagerie, she pondered the song's mood and decided to make it cheerful, enjoyable and danceable.
