Indonesian art diversity
Modern and contemporary Indonesian art have been widely discussed in international art circles for years. Meanders in the Tropics, an ongoing exhibition at Tsinghua University Art Museum, addresses this interest in 20th century Indonesian art. On display are drawings, paintings, sculptures and videos dated from as early as the 1930s. The exhibition traces the diversity in style and themes of Indonesian art throughout the century, and reflects the social influence as the country evolves in different stages of history.
