The exhibition is divided into two sections. Exploring Magnificent Landscapes examines how painters balanced realism with imaginative interpretation, using subtle brush techniques to create landscapes that feel both natural and dreamlike. Expressing Sentiment Through Nature focuses on nature as a refuge — a spiritual retreat where scholars and hermits sought peace away from worldly concerns. Through their brushwork, artists conveyed a sense of timelessness and detachment from ordinary space and time.
The exhibition runs until July 26. Public programs include guided tours, workshops, and a lecture on Emperor Qianlong's Southern Tour, one of the featured works.
