Britain hopes to double the number of students learning Chinese by 2020
An exhibition of works by the great French sculptor Auguste Rodin opened at The National Museum of China in Beijing on Nov 27.
As part of the cultural discovery tour to the port city Quanzhou in Fujian province, a group of diplomats based in China visited the city’s landmark attraction - Quanzhou Maritime Museum.
The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms. Frost's Descent, (Chinese: 霜降), the 18th solar term of the year, begins this year on Oct 23 and ends on Nov 7.
A study is underway in Wuyuan, to better preserve the cultural roots of historical heritage. It is among the sites in the countrywide project, "Retain nostalgia - archive the ancient villages in China".
About 150 masterworks of red stoneware, jade carving and Suzhou embroidery are on show at the Jiangsu Arts and Crafts Masterworks Expo in Beijing.
