Third Liyuan Comedy Festival wraps up with global lineup

The third Liyuan Comedy Festival concluded in Qingdao on Monday, featuring more than 26 comedy performance formats and a total of 81 shows staged across the city's historic blocks, primarily in Shibei district.

This year's festival notably welcomed artists from six countries — Denmark, Italy, Cuba, France, Argentina and Australia — who brought a diverse range of comedy forms including physical clown theater, one-man-band musical parades, rhythm comedy, live comic mime, marionette shows and bubble performances. The international lineup allowed residents and visitors alike to experience international comedy without leaving Qingdao.

Among the acts, Denmark's Paolo Nani Theater presented two productions: Jack's Fancy Ice Cream and Frida's Incredible Journey. The theater's founder, Paolo Nani, was born in Italy in 1956 and settled in Denmark in 1990. A Danish master of comedy, he has toured in 42 countries.
