‘A Moonmoment to Remember: Fascinating Hubei’ enchants Berlin

On Sept 25 and 26, the "A Moonmoment to Remember: Fascinating Hubei" themed performance, hosted by China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was staged in Berlin as part of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations.

The performance on Sept 25 at the Berlin Chinese Cultural Center was co-organized by the Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Berlin Chinese Cultural Center and the Berlin city government, drawing an international audience. The following day, the delegation performed at Berlin World Park, where about 20,000 people watched the show.

Zeng Fanhua, chargé d'affaires of the Chinese embassy in Germany, extended Mid-Autumn Festival greetings to the audience, noting that October will mark the 54th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Germany.

Gao Qing, a second-level inspector of the Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, invited friends from Berlin to visit Hubei, citing a German proverb: "Mountains may not meet, but people will."

Lasting more than an hour, the performance showcased a range of Chinese art forms, including song and dance, opera, instrumental music, folk arts and poetry recitation. The dance Phoenix Cries in Chu opened the program, while the duet Autumn Narrative evoked the warmth of reunion beneath the Mid-Autumn moon.
