Leifeng Pagoda at West Lake, Hangzhou

Perched on Xizhao Hill along the southern shore of West Lake, Leifeng Pagoda was first built in 977 during the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127). The original pagoda collapsed in 1924, and the present pagoda was rebuilt in 2002 on the same historic site.

Tonight, as the Mid-Autumn moon rises over West Lake, moonlight will softly illuminate the pagoda and shimmer across the lake.
