Exhibition delivers blessings from plateau

The Museum of Tibetan Culture in northern Beijing is one of the lesser-known institutions among the capital's dozens of museums, art galleries and cultural centers. Yet it promises to be equally worthy of an afternoon spent navigating rich displays on Tibetan culture and the works of artists such as Wu Changjiang, renowned for their commitment to celebrating their history and art.

The museum's exhibition calendar includes a show of paintings and calligraphic pieces running until Sept 27 that celebrates ethnic unity, livelihood development in the Xizang autonomous region, and the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau's majestic natural beauty.

At the exhibition opening, Li Bin, one of the artists on show, donated calligraphic works and a book collection to the Xizang Gaoshan Culture and Art Foundation, one of the exhibition's organizers, for a charity in Xizang.
