Zheng thanked the Egyptian hosts and said the department had been chosen as the club's base in recognition of its academic standing in Chinese literary studies in the Arab world. The two sides will develop a program of activities, including thematic seminars, dialogues between writers and creative writing workshops. Egyptian translators and scholars will also have opportunities to attend literary conferences and academic events in China, expanding exchanges in both directions.

Hassanein said the club would organize literary salons, workshops and regular meetings between Chinese and Egyptian writers. It aims to bring together a new generation of Egyptian translators of Chinese, expand the Chinese literature collections of Arabic-language libraries, and respond to growing interest among Arab readers. Guests from both countries then jointly unveiled the club's plaque.

At the literary dialogue that followed, participants discussed creative writing, the development of modern Chinese and Arabic poetry, and ways to expand two-way literary exchange. They also considered how Eurocentric perspectives have shaped exchanges among Eastern literary traditions and called for a more diverse and open dialogue between civilizations.

Participants highlighted the emergence of accomplished Egyptian translators who work directly from Chinese into Arabic, bringing a wider range of Chinese works to Arab readers. Through ongoing literary activities, the club will provide a regular forum for writers, scholars and translators from both countries to exchange ideas and deepen cultural understanding.
