Baima Snow Mountain National Nature Reserve, Yunnan

Baima Snow Mountain National Nature Reserve is located in Diqing Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province. Here, mountains rise in layers above deep valleys, while forests spread along the slopes, and streams wind their way through the landscape. Snow-capped mountains, forests, meadows and streams together form a richly layered alpine ecosystem, providing a habitat for a diverse range of wildlife and plants, including the Yunnan snub-nosed monkey, the white-eared pheasant, and Arisaema echinoides.
