A treasure of China, ceramics have long been an important calling card of Chinese civilization.
Jingdezhen: A Cultural Heritage, an ongoing exhibition at the Chinese Traditional Culture Museum until Sept 6, brings together fine examples of the diverse ceramic types and styles produced in Jingdezhen, a manufacturing and trade hub in Jiangxi province since ancient times.
The exhibition marks the recent inscription of the Jingdezhen Handicraft Porcelain Industry Sites on the World Heritage List.
The show takes visitors through Jingdezhen's millennia-old kiln system, where technical mastery and innovations helped its products reach customers around the world while fostering global exchange and mutual learning.
