Chinese Bridge global finals held in Xiamen

The Global Finals and Awarding Ceremony of the 25th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students was held on Aug 23 in Xiamen, Fujian province.

Since February, the competition has attracted more than 50,000 college students from over 140 countries and regions. A total of 157 finalists and 131 observers from 139 countries took part in the final phase in China, visiting cities including Beijing, Fuzhou and Xiamen and participating in Chinese-language contests and cultural activities.

After several rounds of competition, five contestants won the continental championship titles: Li Wenda from Vietnam, Wang Jiayi (MAMAM FADILA) from Togo, Li Wei Levi Benjamin Petersen from Germany, Eli Marx from the United States, and Ma Kai from Australia.

Marking the 25th anniversary of "Chinese Bridge", the program has reached more than 160 countries and regions and attracted over 1.8 million young people overseas. Over the past 25 years, it has grown from a Chinese-language competition into a major platform for international youth and cultural exchange.
