Main Courses

The main courses showcase the depth and complexity of Indonesian cuisine. The iconic Rendang, West Sumatra's legendary beef stew slow-cooked with coconut milk and aromatic spices until impossibly tender, is a dish once reserved for celebrations that symbolizes honor and hospitality.

Ayam Goreng Rempah features chicken marinated in a fragrant blend of coriander, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves, fried to golden perfection.

From Java's northern coast comes Udang Bakar Kecap, prawns charred over an open flame with sweet soy and sambal. The beloved Nasi Goreng Kampung, a home-cooked style fried rice with chicken, egg, and aromatic spices, offers the comforting familiarity of Indonesian home cooking.

A rotating selection of Aneka Sate—marinated beef, chicken, and lamb skewers served with peanut sauce and sambal—completes the feast.

Desserts

The culinary journey concludes with Pisang Goreng — golden, crispy Indonesian banana fritters—alongside traditional sweets such as Dadar Gulung (pandan wraps with coconut and palm sugar), Kue Pukis Pandan, and Bubur Sumsum, a comforting rice flour pudding with coconut milk and palm sugar.

"We are delighted to partner with the Indonesian Embassy and Warisan Roemah Indonesia for this special celebration," Wang Huan, general manager of JW Marriott Hotel Beijing Central, said.

"Food has a unique power to bring people together, and this festival is our way of honoring Indonesia's rich culinary heritage while strengthening the bonds between our two cultures," he added.
