L'ECOLE, School of Jewelry Arts is presenting Precious Coral: From Curiosity to Treasures in Hong Kong, inviting visitors to discover one of jewelry history's most captivating natural materials.

Running through Oct 11 at K11 MUSEA, the exhibition brings together around 120 coral jewelry creations, artworks and rare natural specimens on loan from leading museums, private collections and jewelry houses.

As the largest exhibition that L'ECOLE has staged in Hong Kong, it explores coral through the perspectives of biology, gemology, craftsmanship, and jewelry history.

The exhibition is jointly curated by Olivier Segura, gemologist and managing director of L'ECOLE, School of Jewelry Arts in Asia-Pacific, gemologist Ann Lee, art historian Mathilde Berger-Rondouin, and Rui Galopim de Carvalho, gemologist, scientific adviser and vice-chair of the Coral Commission of the World Jewellery Confederation.

"Precious coral has long occupied a meaningful place in the world of jewelry and ornament, especially in the Asia-Pacific, where its cultural significance is deep and enduring," says Segura.
