Young musicians from six nations shine at international art week

The International Youth Orchestra Art Week 2026 drew to a close on Tuesday, culminating in a series of collaborative concerts and workshops that brought together young music lovers from China, Russia, Turkmenistan, Bulgaria, Mexico and Indonesia.

Hosted by the China Soong Ching Ling Science and Culture Centre for Young People, the event served as a platform for cultural exchange, featuring orchestra workshops, master classes led by distinguished music educators, sightseeing tours of Beijing's historical landmarks and joint performances.

The opening concert set an inspiring tone, with the Soong Ching Ling Peace Angel Art Troupe delivering a polished rendition of Mozart's Serenade No 13 in G Major, demonstrating the technical prowess and confidence of China's younger generation.
