Six French bands will perform across nine Chinese cities from June 17 to 28 as part of the 2026 Fete de la Musique, an annual summer music celebration.
The lineup includes the upbeat SPELIM, the rhythm-driven Frieda, the experimental sounds of Meule, and the alternative pop of Crenoka. Instrumental trio Orange Ocean blends rock with electronic elements, while the six-member BØL delivers polyrhythmic energy.
The Fete de la Musique has been a flagship event of the Festival Croisements since it first arrived in China in 2007. The Chinese edition is known for its casual atmosphere and mostly free admission, helping introduce emerging French artists to local audiences.
Originally launched by the French Ministry of Culture in 1982, the Fete de la Musique is celebrated annually in France on June 21. It invites professional and amateur musicians alike to perform on streets and in public squares, celebrating musical diversity. The event is now held in more than 120 countries worldwide.
