The final performance of Poetic Homeland: Yang Weijie and Sha Jingshan's Greater Bay Area Chinese Music Sentiment was held at the Harbin Conservatory of Music concert hall on May 30, bringing to a close a national and international tour that spanned more than a year, over 10 cities, and thousands of miles.

Led by renowned dizi virtuoso and composer Yang Weijie and celebrated pipa performer Sha Jingshan, the concert featured the award-winning bamboo flute piece Poetic Homeland, the pipa suite Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and classic Cantonese works. Accompanied by Hong Kong pianist Timothy Kwok, the duo delivered a performance that drew prolonged applause from the audience.

The tour began in Foshan, Guangdong province, in April 2025 and subsequently traveled to major cities across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, as well as Tianjin, Xi'an, Shaanxi province, Beijing, and Wuhan, Hubei province.

At the heart of the program was Poetic Homeland, inspired by a poem by Tang Dynasty (618-907) poet Han Yu, which expresses themes of nostalgia, cultural heritage and emotional ties to the Chinese nation.
