Visitors to Beijing's China World Mall will encounter several installations on show until May 31, presented under Wonder, a public art section that serves as a prelude to this year's Beijing Dangdai Art Fair.
The annual fair will return to the National Agricultural Exhibition Center from May 21-24. The theme of this year is "Land Traces", and will examine the cultural differences and experiences among communities from the perspectives of history, tradition and geography.
Bringing together galleries and cultural institutions, primarily based in Beijing, the fair will showcase the capital's dynamic and diverse urban energy, reinforcing its ambitions as a key destination on the global art calendar.
The fair also forms part of the Beijing Art Season, which opens on May 21 and will feature more than 400 events across the city.
