This month, Bellerbys International Education, a subsidiary of Study Group, hosted a series of events in Beijing, signaling a new phase for Bellerbys Global and focusing on local collaboration.
Bellerbys Global was founded in London in 1927 and serves as a student preparation program to help open the doors to top universities.
The events brought Ian Crichton, CEO of the Study Group, along with international education experts, academic scholars, educational agencies, partners, and representatives from local governments to explore new avenues for global education cooperation.
"In the new era, students need more than guidance on 'where to go'; they also need clarity on 'how to choose'," Crichton said. "Bellerbys Global provides high-quality local learning experiences, building a bridge to global education. Students can grow in familiar, well-supported environments while maintaining diverse pathways to world-class universities."
Crichton highlighted China's strong start in international education cooperation, emphasizing Bellerbys Global's broader mission: creating a global network that allows students to move seamlessly across countries and optimize their educational choices.
He also expressed his enthusiasm for expanding partnerships with Chinese universities, citing the Harbin Institute of Technology as an example. "They've done remarkable work in rocket technology and space, and their campuses across the country reflect a strong ethos and academic quality."
With China's growing technology sector, opportunities for students are expanding rapidly, Crichton said.
Currently, Bellerbys Global operates learning centers in 14 cities and regions, including in China, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, and the UK, preparing students academically and holistically for admission to over 50 leading universities worldwide.
The organization also plans to attract students from around the globe to study in China.
"Our mission in China has changed," Crichton explained. "In the past, it was about helping students go to the UK, America or Australia. Today, it is figuring out how we can work with Chinese institutions and the Chinese government to internationalize higher education in China."
Bellerbys Global aims to deepen global partnerships, enhance its curriculum system, and expand its learning network, creating a platform that combines local support with international opportunities for more students worldwide.
