An academic platform that integrates academic seminars, resource sharing and collaborative exchanges for young Sinologists worldwide has recently been established at Renmin University of China in Beijing.
The Global Young Sinologists Center was opened at the International Symposium on Young Sinologists and Mutual Learning among Civilizations in Beijing from Jan 8-10, to dozens of senior and younger-generation Sinologists at home and from abroad. It is an initiative to continuously promote innovations in research methodologies and the refinement of theoretical frameworks in Sinology.
Meanwhile, the center launched the "World Sinology and China Studies" research project which invites collaborations among young scholars around the world in the exploration of such fields as poverty reduction practices, cultural exchanges along the Silk Road, the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, and the development of digital Sinology.
