The Lux Collective has announced plans to expand its footprint in China, with its lifestyle resort brand SALT venturing beyond Mauritius for the first time. The brand will debut in Zhejiang and Sichuan provinces, while its flagship luxury brand, LUX*, is set to enter Guangdong's Guangzhou — its first presence in a first-tier Chinese city.

Paul Mulcahy, chief commercial officer of The Lux Collective, said the expansion is a key milestone in the group's global growth strategy.

"This move reflects our strong confidence in the Chinese market's potential and our commitment to meeting the evolving preferences of modern travelers. With The Lux Collective's reputation for excellence and innovation in luxury hospitality, we aim to create stunning destinations and deliver exceptional experiences," Mulcahy said.

The Lux Collective currently operates nine hotels and resorts in China. Its first SALT property in the country, SALT of Anji, is set to open in Zhejiang in the second quarter of 2025. Nestled in Anji's vast bamboo forests and tea plantations, the resort will offer an immersive retreat where nature and culture converge.
