Japanese artist shows the far-off future is near

While artificial intelligence used to be part of a far-off future envisioned decades ago in sci-fi movies and artworks, the deepening integration of robots into everyday life is becoming more common.

In the late 1970s, Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama began a series of paintings called Sexy Robot, which later became the most celebrated imageries in his career, expanding his influence in filmmaking, the music industry and pop culture.
