Winter photography exhibition Magnificent Yichun, Charming Fenglin, toured six cities, including Heilongjiang province's Harbin, Liaoning province's Dalian, Beijing, Yunnan province's Kunming, Guangdong province's Maoming, and Shaanxi province's Xi'an, between December and March.
Located in Yichun, Heilongjiang province, Fenglin county is known for its primeval pine forests, volcanic basalt formations and rime ice scenery, and is one of China's top leisure destinations.
The 120 photographs captured the winter splendor, offering a glimpse of the region's pristine environment, and were accompanied by a display of local products, including birch sap, ham and blueberries.
According to statistics, Fenglin county received 1.67 million tourists last year, making revenues of 1.12 billion yuan ($154 million). The exhibition attracted some 500,000 visitors and led to an increase in inquiries about tourism in the county.
